Faith in Action Merton, an independent charity, runs a long-established and successful Homeless Drop-in and Advice/Support Service for homeless and vulnerably-housed people.

We need a new Manager to lead the staff and volunteer teams at the Drop-in, following the retirement of the current post-holder.

The successful candidate should have experience in this area of service provision, as well as the ability to lead and manage a team of about seven part-time staff plus a large number of volunteers.

The new Manager will need to liaise confidently with specialists from other support agencies. The ability to think creatively and further develop the service, especially in these times of great change, is essential.

The post is offered at 4.5 days per week, and the Drop-In, currently situated in South Wimbledon SW19 1LT, is at present open on two days each week.

Salary range – £30-32,000 pa according to experience, plus a 5% pension contribution.

The charity’s administrative office is currently in The Wimbledon Guild, SW19 4EF; some home working is also possible.
