FiA awarded London Community Foundation grant

We're delighted that Faith in Action Merton Homelessness Project (FiA) has been awarded a grant from the Wimbledon Foundation, which is managed by the London Community Foundation.

FiA provides respite from the street, a safe welcoming space, food, showers, support and help to access advice and information for anyone who is homeless or vulnerably housed in Merton and its neighbouring boroughs, particularly those who are hard to reach.

Our core services are a twice-weekly Drop-in based in south Wimbledon, and the Merton Winter Night Shelter which runs every December until March providing temporary emergency accommodation for around a dozen homeless people. Our caseworkers support individuals on a 1-to-1 basis, working in partnership to make a positive and lasting impact to their lives.

We wouldn’t be able to achieve all that we do without our supporters at the London Community Foundation and the Wimbledon Foundation, who enable us to be there for people for as long as they need.
