Nearly 200 shoe boxes filled with presents have been delivered to the Drop-in, in response to South Western Railway’s Christmas Shoe Box Appeal.
Now Christmas will be a little brighter for local homeless people.
We’re very grateful to South Western Railway, who once again stepped up to help Merton’s homeless, and of course to everyone who donated including many SWR employees. Thank you all, and Merry Christmas!
I wish to sponsor a hot meal. Could you please let me know the head count so that I can prepare the right number of meal boxes
Hello Dr Sengupta,
Thank you so much for your kind offer. At the moment we are not able to provide hot meals due to social distancing guidelines in our relatively small kitchen. Instead, for the much reduced numbers we are able to accommodate (currently around 25 to 30), we are providing packed cold lunches of sandwiches etc. If you would like to make a financial donation this, of course, would be very gratefully received. Details of how to do this are on our website at http://www.mertonfaithinaction.org/donate.
With very best wishes.
